Abstract

The Christian camp experience has tremendous potential for faith formation and spiritual transformation. The confirmation camp program in Finland offers important lessons to the international community about camp’s role in perpetuating current church models and its potential to transform the church. This article builds on the rich quantitative findings of confirmation camp in Finland, offering new qualitative data from a foreign perspective seeking to understand, appreciate, and characterise the Finnish camp experience in order to benefit the church in Finland and Christian camping throughout the world.
