Abstract

A study of the low temperature heat capacity and Hall effect of U x Th 1− x Be 13 (1 > x > 0.07) compounds shows the transition from the "quasi" Kondo heavy fermion ground state in UBe 13 to the spin-fluctuating one for x < 0.9. The character of the temperature dependence of the electron term in the heat capacity for U 0.9 Th 0.1 Be 13 and U 0.64 Th 0.36 Be 13 indicates the possibility of a weak magnetic transition below 1K.
