Abstract

The article analyzes the economic model of an educational institution and possible ways of its transformation in the context of post-war European integration. The author’s economic model was developed on the basis of the classic enterprise model, with adaptation to the conditions of existence of an educational institution. The main economic processes in business and educational institutions (production/providing services, marketing, ensuring competitiveness, organization of the financial system) are compared. It is shown how the efforts of educators, the state, the market and business should be integrated to form an economic educational ecosystem. The essence of the educational institution’s value proposition as the basis of its unique brand has been determined. The ways of adaptive change in the functioning of the educational institution using economic approaches are outlined. A complex of analytical business tools for diagnosing economic models of the functioning of educational institutions is proposed. In particular, the choice of analytical tools for a detailed analysis of the state of economic activity of modern educational institutions is substantiated.
