Abstract

This paper presents differential methods of conversion of geodetic coordinates, distances, and azimuths between ellipsoids of reference. In transforming coordinates, geodetic accuracy is achieved at continental distances. An accuracy of at least 1:100 million is attained in transforming 2000-km geodetic lines. The formulas are suitable for mechanical computing, no special tables being required.
