Abstract

Nowadays, studying of changes that have occurred in the language personality of modern schoolchildren under the influence of factors caused by the digitalization of society is relevant. These changes are noted by scientists in various scientific fields, but the results of their studies are not sufficiently taken into account in teaching Russian. This article aims at identifying factors affecting the transformation of a modern student’s language personality and describing the nature of changes taking place in the language personality. Analysis and generalization of scientific literature on research problem made it possible to state a significant impact of electronic discourse and electronic hypertext on the language personality of a modern student. The author draws a conclusion that excessive involvement of students in virtual communication, as well as lack of training in working with electronic hypertext, on the one hand, leads to difficulties in non-virtual communication, and on the other, to the formation of clip thinking. The author also revealed changes that affected verbalsemantic, thesaurus and pragmatic levels of the language personality. The results obtained show that modern schoolchildren have assimilated lexical, word-forming, grammatical means, values, patterns of behavior of electronic discourse. The basic needs of the modern language personality include acceptance and recognition by the network community, communication in virtual space. Individual values formed under the influence of electronic discourse and electronic hypertext are democracy, freedom of expression, anonymity, unlimited access to information, tertiary socialization, inculturation, and self-presentation. The behavior models learned by a modern student in the context of society digitalization demonstrate a high degree of emotionality, polarity of behavior, familiarity and permissiveness. The author assumes that application of the research findings in the practice of teaching Russian to schoolchildren will specify the goals of education, as well as formation of students’ abilities to deal with information, to perform communicative activities in various fields and communication situations.
