Abstract

The regularities of the transformation of the intensity profile of a collimated Gaussian wave beam formed by the control optical system at the exit of an long path are experimentally considered. A change in the symmetry of the beam cross section when controlling its tilt and change in shape and linear dimensions when controlling its area are considered. Based on the matrix model of the optical system, the limiting values of the targeting range of a two-lens system for a beam with a given diffraction length are established. The change scales size of the output beam waist under rearrangement the characteristics of a two-lens optical system is discussed.
