Abstract

Acoustic Absorber In article number 2201757, Gih-Keong Lau and co-workers report that a single type of absorber does not completely mitigate the variable noise whose frequency shifts with the vehicle speed and load. A transformable absorber that switches from the Helmholtz resonance at a medium frequency to the membrane resonance at a low frequency is developed. Electro-adhesive zip of the double micro-slit layers helps reduce the effective hole ratio. This transparent construction provides a clear view good for replacing the traditional enclosure barrier.
