Abstract

Three bidimensional pseudo-homogeneous models are considered for estimation of heat transfer parameters in a fixed bed catalytic reactors. The Peclet and Biot numbers are obtained by identification of experimental and calculated temperatures profiles in a pilot plant reactor. Particular attention is drawn to sensivity of identification to experimental variables. The results obtained from the one parameter model proposed by Dewash and Froment are compared with experimental data, and influence of axial dispersion in catalytic bed is studied by comparison of different models.
