Abstract
Transfer resistance in GaAs-AlGaAs electron waveguides is studied with varying distance ΔL between current and voltage junctions. An Aharonov-Bohm type interference of the electron wave in ballistic quantum channel is observed as quasi-periodic fluctuations in the nonlocal measurements. The period is in reasonable agreement with the magnetic field over which one flux quantum h/e penetrates through a nonlocally conducting area. The suppression in the amplitude of the fluctuation, as ΔL is increased, is weaker than that expected for ballistic transport.
