Abstract

Background and Aim: There is evidence that blastocysts classified as mosaics as a result of preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) by next-generation sequencing (NGS) less likely to implant and miscarry more often than euploid embryos, but such embryos still be able to produce chromosomally normal and viable pregnancies. Different genetic communities recommend using mosaics for transfer only when no euploid embryos are available. Genetic counseling is necessary before the transfer of a mosaic embryo is considered.
