Abstract

Endoscopic Doppler sonography is a new technique for the evaluation of intestinal bleeding sources. With the aid of a high frequent pulsed microvascular device an exact determination of the vascular depth is possible. In addition, vessels that lie close to one other can be differentiated. Main indications are bleeding gastroduodenal ulcers and angiodysplasias.
