Abstract

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory multigenic dermatosis of unclear etiology. Recently, more and more studies have been carried out to investigate into its physiopathologic mechanism at transcriptome level. The methods used in these studies mainly include expressed sequence tag(EST)analysis, GeneChip, second-generation sequencing technology, etc. Some non-coding RNAs, including miR-21, miR-203 and miR-31, have been found to be expressed abnormally in psoriatic lesions, and closely related to the differentiation and proliferation of keratinocytes. These findings provide important evidences for the pathogenesis of psoriasis. Key words: Psoriasis; Microchip analytical procedures; Multilocus sequence typing
