Abstract

While some brain disorders are typical of senescence and others are more prevalent in youth, many occur at any age across the lifespan. Therapeutic interventions are often dosed differently depending on age; a proper understanding of how transcranial near-infrared light should be dosed at different ages is lacking. In line with our prior work that refers to affective disorders (e.g. major depressive disorder) and dysfunction in the emotion regulation circuitry, this work addresses this point by accurate light modeling across the lifespan.
