Abstract
Transcatheter mitral leaflet repair using the MitraClip (Abbott Vascular) is an alternative to surgery for high-risk patients with significant mitral regurgitation (MR). Acute results of this technique have demonstrated adequate reductions in mitral regurgitation in the initial clinical Canadian experience however longer term echocardiographic follow up has been lacking in this cohort. We sought to determine the follow up echocardiographic outcomes in a prospective cohort of patients undergoing MitraClip repair at the Institut de Cardiologie de Montréal.
