Abstract
Transanal TME is typically utilised for resection of low rectal lesions to overcome the potential technical limitations of abdominal TME resections. Advanced applications for beyond TME surgery have rarely been described. Herein we adopt a hybrid robotic transanal TME approach with Indocyanine Green injection into the ureters for a safe en-bloc resection of seminal vesicle with an ultra-low anterior resection. The combined technique allows the abdominal operator to leave the standard anatomical plane and subsequently return to it for seamless seminal vesicle resection. This may provide a useful aid for colorectal surgeons when it comes to T4 resections.
