Abstract

Transactive energy (TE) is considered a promising solution towards addressing the challenges with modern grid management. In this paper, we introduce TE systems and their benefits towards the optimization of grid functionality. We also discuss various some existing TE control techniques and frameworks under development. We conclude by examining a specific TE system architecture for power exchange in power distribution systems.
