Abstract

In an enterprise system, maintaining the integrity of data across various applications, message queues, databases, and machines is critical. Regardless of the scope of the application, at least some aspects of transaction processing have to be implemented to guarantee the integrity of the data. Transaction processing systems are the backbone of nearly all data processing systems. These systems process the transactions that drive the modern business world, including banking, airline reservation systems, retail systems, and stock exchanges. The typical consumer encounters transaction processing systems dozens of times each day, from using the telephone to accessing bank accounts to the ATM. In this chapter you will learn about the transaction support in Message Queuing. As you will see, Message Queuing supports internal as well as external transactions.KeywordsInternal TransactionQueue ManagerMessage QueuingSingle TransactionGlobal TransactionThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
