Abstract
Surgical Principles Temporary release of the acromial part of the deltoid muscle together with the posterior and medial bony edge of the acromion. Optimal visualization of all areas of the joint for insertion of prosthesis and reconstruction of ruptured rotator cuffs. This approach is a variation of the transacromial approach described by DePalma [9].
