Abstract

Through the interaction of (±)- trans -cyclohexane-1,2-diamine and anthracene-9-carbaldehyde with the following reduction of the condensation product N , N '-bis(anthracen-9-ylmethyl)cyclohexane-1,2-diamine was obtained. It was demonstrated that interaction of this diamine with aldehydes leads to the formation of octahydrobenzimidazoles.
