Abstract

An optimal method for curve generation and optimization of the slider motion in slide-crank servo press is proposed and studied. The advantage of this method is the combination of Bezier curve model and genetic algorithm. Firstly, the input motion characteristics are defined by Bezier curves. Then the mathematical model based on the servo press motion is established. Afterwards, the output motion characteristics with different requirements are described. The motion curves are classified and summarized according to different constraint functions. At last, the simulation and experimental results are compared. Results show the design method meets the process requirements of the servo press successfully.
