Abstract

This volume (18) of a series of specialized radiology texts covers exclusively, and in detail, the digestive, urinary, and genital systems. The subject division in anatomical and by disease entity, with thorough coverage of the entire spectrum of abnormalities that occur. The discussions of anatomy, both normal and abnormal, embryology, clinical findings, and pathology are very complete with lucid descriptions of roentgenographic technique and diagnosis. The reproductions of roentgenographs are plentiful, well reproduced, and represent an excellent selection of case material. Sections on radioisotope and ultrasound studies are included. These are somewhat superficial due to their brevity. The common pathologic conditions that effect these systems in childhood are discussed, with inclusion of chapters on some very rare entities. The extent of the discussion matches the frequency and importance of each disease. Reference lists in each chapter are complete and up-to-date. Special mention should be made of the liberal use of
