Abstract
The article addresses the issue of training specific mathematics competencies in middle school and high school by solving waterfall problems. The results of the survey on the application of cascade problems to the study of mathematics are analyzed in the article. The advantages and disadvantages of using cascade problems in the educational process are presented. It is concluded that cascade problems are effective both in the teaching-learning of mathematics and in the evaluation of school results.
