Abstract

Based on convex programming, this paper presents a new training signal design for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) under colored Gaussian noise. An effective method for OFDM symbol detection with the use of precoding is also described. Both analytical and simulation results show that the proposed training design and detection method can effectively estimate the frequency-selective fading channel and reliably recover the OFDM symbols. The superiority of the proposed design over the previously known design under the colored Gaussian noise is also demonstrated.
