Abstract

This paper presents the results of an experiential study which was carried out following the completion of two two-day seminars, each one lasting six hours. The aim of these seminars was the training of prospective engineering educators in the use of the dynamic open-source software GeoGebra via simulation construction. According to the results, the students showed off the added value of the seminar and the software in their specialty of study. Furthermore, it seems that the possibilities of Geogebra are especially useful for constructions and simulations. Finally, it was shown that the seminar and the construction of simulations contributed to prospective engineering educators' seeing concepts of mathematics and physics from a different perspective.
