Abstract
A training program for research in alcohol problems, sponsored by the Massachusetts division of alcoholism with the cooperation of universities and field settings in the Boston area, is described. Evaluative data collected in a survey of former student participants indicate that the program is a highly effective training model, facilitating the recruitment of new investigators and the production of significant research in the field of alcohol problems.
