Training of Undergraduate Physical Education Professionals in Colleges and Universities based on Competency Model

Abstract

With the continuous development of socialist market economy, the employment competition is getting fiercer, and the standard of talent demand in society is getting higher. The talent training of physical education in our country increasingly exposes its limitations. The traditional training of physical education professionals cannot keep pace with the demand for physical education talents in today's society. Colleges and universities must change their concepts, establish correct value orientation and ways of thinking for cultivating sports talents, and explore new training modes for physical education professionals in the new era, so that cultivation of knowledgeable and creative talents become the main part of value creation in colleges and universities, and thereby the focus and key points that colleges and universities must grasp. By using competency model, this paper questions the training direction of undergraduate physical education professionals in project division and verifies that there are some problems in the present training mode, such as the mismatch with demand for physical education teachers in basic education, professional standard concept, teaching objects, teaching materials. For the mismatch, this paper proposes a new conception of studying phase division mode to fill the fault in the evolution of educational form in our country, promote professional development of physical education teachers in all stages of basic education, promote integrated construction for physical education teacher training, achieve equivalence and convergence in pre-job, on-job and post-job training, and find a breakthrough to solve problems like awarding degree to physical education professionals.
