Abstract

Abstract This article reviews the use of the creative arts in a diploma programme entitled ‘Training of trainers: Psychosocial training for teachers for a safe educational environment’ in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. Emphasis was placed on the therapeutic potential available through the creative arts to both support the learning and personal process of the teachers in the programme, and to provide hands on experience for holistic ways to offer psychosocial support (PSS) in school settings for children.
