These policies and strategies differ from one country to another in function, being able to be adapted to the specifics of each educational system and to the needs of teacher training. Allocating adequate resources to implement and develop continuing education programs, providing financial incentives for teachers participating in training programs, developing national professional development standards, providing accessible and flexible continuing education programs, investing in research in the field continuing education are some examples of policies and strategies the can be adopted.
