Abstract

In ICU, specialist nurses play an important role in the identification, treatment and rehabilitation of critically ill patients condition. Improving training and utilization of specialist nurses will help promote the development and progress of critical care nursing. To provide reference for the standardization and development of critical care, this paper illustrates the training orientation of ICU specialist nurses from 4 aspects. Those are the characteristics of the development of specialty nursing, the clinical thinking and skills of critical care, the standardization and development of qualification certification system for specialist nurses in ICU, and the professional development and challenges of specialist nurses in ICU.
