Abstract

The study aimed to identify the training needs of mathematics teachers in the primary stage in Riyadh city, and study the effect of some variables (university degree, educational qualification, academic specialization, experience) on determining the training needs of mathematics teachers in the primary stage in Riyadh. The researcher used the descriptive approach and the study society from all the teachers of mathematics in the upper stage (grades 4, 5 and 6) and the primary stage in the government schools in Riyadh during the first semester of the year 1432 / 1433H.The study found that the teacher needs training in teaching methods and modern methods to communicate this information to students and needs to know more about planning and management of the classroom and its organization to be effective in environmental and classroom organization positively in its impact on the personality of the student. And that the teachers of mathematics training on different educational means the teacher hears some means and see their uses in other materials and does not know how to use in the field of teaching mathematics. The results of the study show that there are statistical differences that are attributed to the variable years of service in the fields (classroom management and organization, teaching methods, assessment of mathematics, knowledge of mathematics) And the teaching methods in the field of mathematics.) The study also revealed the existence of statistical differences resulting from the interaction between the variables of the scientific qualification and the years of experience in the fields of (planning for education, management of the classroom and its organization, methods of teaching, evaluation of mathematics, knowledge of scientific subjects). Results A number of recommendations and suggestions were presented to activate training programs for mathematics teachers in the center of Riyadh and the Kingdom in general.
