Abstract

Abstract Curriculum and field experiences have been devised at the University of Missouri-Kansas City for preparation of professionals and advanced graduate students in bereavement therapy (lamentology). Assumptions behind the course and goals associated with it are described, as are the methods employed for selection of participants, course content, and the nature of related field activities. Observations are offered from the author's experience as a counselor educator and practicing psychologist.
