Abstract

The organization and management of train transportation focus on two aspects: organizing transportation and managing safe operation of trains. Many countries have created different organizational structures according to their regulatory and economic conditions, including full speed operation, passenger -cargo mixed transportation, coline-matching operational modes of different -speed trains, and so on. The train operation control system is essential for ensuring the safe maneuvering of trains. The ground and station -linking equipment realize the interlocking control function, generate the basic data as required, and transmit real-time information to the train through dedicated vehicle -ground communication equipment. After the train receives the data, the train speed control curve is generated, and the pertinent equipment is enabled to safely and efficiently operate the train. The train operation control systems currently in use include the Chinese Train Control System (CTCS), the Japanese Automatic Train Control (jATC), and the European Train Control System (ETCS), among others.
