Abstract

This work applies the linear optimization theory to the minimum cost flow problem of voice traffic management in a real mobile telecommunication network. A voice traffic assignment method between core network elements is proposed to achieve the optimum trade-off between cost and transmission capacity in graph routes. In this sense, the Simplex Method is aplied to perform flow optimization and verify the optimal traffic distribution among network nodes. Finally, results for different costs scales are presented.
