Abstract

Traffic is becoming more and more developed today, and at the same time the problem of intersection congestion is becoming more and more serious. As a key traffic scene in urban network, signalized intersection is much more important and complex than other parts. Vehicles in the connected vehicles environment can carry out data interaction with multiple platforms such as background control center, which can effectively solve the problems of traffic congestion at intersections. Therefore, for signalized intersections in the connected vehicles environment, this paper summarizes the research results of its control methods. The paper first introduces the speed guidance method and optimized signal timing method respectively, then discusses the speed and timing collaborative optimization method combining the two above, and finally introduces a new idea of future intersection zoning control. This paper summarizes the update researches and the future research direction of intersection control in the connected vehicles environment.
