Abstract

AbstractThis chapter first examines the reform process of China's foreign trade sector and its impact on China's agricultural trade in the 1980s and 1990s. It then explores the effects of trade liberalization on China's agriculture, using an agriculture sector-wide general equilibrium model. Policy implications are presented in the concluding section.
