Abstract

In order to reconstruct the three-dimensional pathway of white matter fiber bundles, put forward with a three-dimensional tracking algorithm based on moving least square.Diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) data were converted to diffusion tensor imaging(DTI) data according the b-value and the table of magnetic gradients, and DTI data were filtered by Gaussian filter. Then cubic spline function was used as weighted function to fit the diffusion tensors.Under the conditions of provided bending angle and step distance, the tracking process began from the region of interest(ROI).The result based on a real DTI dataset shows that this method is suitable for the tracking of white matter(WM) fiber pathways macroscopically.
