Abstract

The meeting was called to order by Jana Stevens of New York University, chair of the Acquisitions discussion group, and Don Satisky of Blackwell North America, chair of the Booksellers group. They explained that one of the day's topics would be “Tracking Down Small Presses,” and that they had assembled a panel of skilled trackers: Bill Schenck, Collection Development Librarian at the University of Oregon; Robert Sheldon, director of marketing for Bookpeople, a wholesaler specializing in small press and trade books; and Len Fulton, publisher of Dustbooks, a firm specializing in information about small presses and little magazines.
