Abstract

AbstractTrack irregularity is the main excitation source of the vehicle-track coupling system vibration. Track irregularities can be divided into track profile irregularity, track cross-level irregularity, track alignment irregularity and track gauge irregularity. Track random irregularity is usually described by power spectral density function which is an important parameter in the analysis of vehicle-track coupling dynamics. In this chapter, the power spectral density functions of the track irregularity proposed by the USA, Germany, China and Japan, etc. are described, and the numerical method of generating random track irregularity samples based on the power spectral density function is presented.
