Abstract

Target information could be obtained by detecting the electromagnetic radiation from the emitters implemented on the target in electronic support measures (ESM) system. When multiple radiation sources equipped on the same platform, the signals could be sorted and processed to form tracks separately, which reveals motion information of that platform. Therefore, those tracks should be associated and fused. In this paper, the dual threshold method is used to associate the location information of radiation sources, and the value of threshold is discussed. Furthermore, track association is confirmed with the attribute information of targets. Finally, the Bar Shalom-Campo algorithm is used for track fusion so as to form a systematic track of the platform target. Simulation results demonstrated that the method proposed in this paper can reduce the track information redundancy effectively as well as improve the target tracking accuracy.
