Abstract

This paper will reflect the synthesis of philosophical context of the Bhagwat Gita with the works of sociological theorists such as Max Weber and Emile Durkheim. The paper will try to identify the positives and negatives of the teachings of the Gita with those of the above-mentioned theorists. The Gita is a philosophical book giving deeper insights into life and its purpose. It has elaborately told about religion the same way as the sociological theorists did in their time. Both, told at different times, with centuries between them, have something in common. I will strikingly deal with the commonalities. All this would be done to produce a text that is not found in any other book of sociology and would be a treat to read.
