Abstract
In this study, the trace fossils in the Lower-Middle Miocene turbiditic Cingoz formation cropping out around the Karaisali - Catalan - Egner regions have been examined for the first time. The trace fossils occur in a sequence, identified as submarine fan deposits. Based on their morphological characteristics, nineteen trace fos- sils have been identified; eleven of them are ichnospecies and eighteen ichnogenus.
