Abstract

The concentrations of copper, zinc, iron, and magnesium have been determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy for various regions of the brain in cases restricted to non-neurologic disorders. The mean, median, and standard deviation for each of the four analysis elements are shown for each brain region. Recovery studies and elemental concentration variations within a particular region were also investigated.
