Abstract

To determine Tl in water by laser enhanced ionization spectrometry, samples were introduced into a fuel-lean air -acetylene flame with an electrothermal vaporizer. At 276.79 nm only alkali an alkaline earth elements interfered at 10-fold excess or more. To eliminate the interference, Tl was extracted into DIBK and 20 μl of the extract was used for the measurements
