Abstract
Team work is one of the foundational pillars for the reorganization of health services in the Unified Health System (UHS) in the construction of more complete and resolute care projects that can provoke changes in work methods for the effective confrontation of the complex factors that influence the health and disease process of the population. The aim of this article is to analyze the contextual aspects of team work in health, so as to acquire an understanding of group construction of the team, its functioning dynamics in the health service environment, and its determining factors. Carried out in reference to the practical reality of the work in the health units of one municipality, the study utilized the Integrative Literature Review and the theoretical referential that categorizes the context in four interactive levels - immediate, specific, general, and meta context, that are different among themselves but filled with meaning, therefore facilitating the description and comprehension of the aspects involving the phenomenon. The study allowed us to understand and to reflect on the challenges facing the construction of an articulated, interchangeable, and shared collective work method, that is committed to the reconstruction of knowledge and the professional practices.
