Abstract

The major and minor chemicals observed in the modern atmosphere, which consists of the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere and above, are discussed. Trace chemicals observed in the troposphere and stratosphere are then described. Finally, greenhouse gases and toxic chemicals are discussed. Typical values are tabulated for atmospheric chemical modeling purposes.
