Abstract

Water is one of the most emerging substances on earth. All living things, including plants and animals, must have water to survive. Rapid urbanization and industrialization afford several pollutants, and their derivatives, which are discharged into the environment. The source of the pollutants includes domestic agriculture, nutrients, and industrial water, which are highly toxic to living organisms. In the current scenario, environmental laws have become stringent towards health, economy, and reduction of pollution. Hence it has become an essential need for the current environment to protect water from pollutants or need cost-effective strategies to protect water from getting polluting. The convention methods have several disadvantages; however, biological method attracted much more attention in recent years. The current objectives of the paper are to make a wide range of reviews on the recent bio-remedies role in wastewater treatment. Also discussed it's the advantages and limitations of bio-remedies technologies.
