Abstract

AbstractThis article presents a general and overarching view on partnerships between adult education and STEM disciplines. Drawing from their individual STEM backgrounds, personal perspectives and experiences with such partnerships, and the science of team science, the authors consider the benefits of adult eeducation for STEM, the benefits of STEM for adult education, and some best practices and pitfalls of collaborations. In this way, they address some of the “why?” and “how?” that adult educators may wish to consider as they seek new collaborations, or navigate existing partnerships.
