Abstract

Abstract A new mathematical method in the drug release dynamics is proposed using Scale Relativity Theory. Our method is completely different than the standard one, because the variables through which we can describe the release dynamics are non-differentiable mathematical functions (i.e. mathematicals functions both dependent of spatial and time coordinates, and also of scale resolutions). In such context, the scale resolution is correlated with drug release degree so that various drug release regimes can be highlighted (gradual drug release, saturation, decay of polymer matrix etc.).
