Abstract
This paper aims to provide information, knowledge, and a new decision-making approach, which will adequately prepare Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises (SMMEs) toward participation in Collaborative Manufacturing (CM). Through CM, SMMEs can leverage competitiveness by establishing a unique niche in the process of delivering a total manufacturing solution to the global market. Hence, this paper provides a realistic and practical approch to managers of SMMEs, who are venturing into CM.
