Abstract
In its report released in 2010, the working committee on “ethnic group” under the auspices of the International Sociological Association noted: “there appears in general to be little relationship between the theoretical debates about ethnicity and ethnic group formation and empirical work on the subject” (Ratcliffe 2010).
